Glad the hearing test was ok and I second what Veronica said. I’ve felt terrible sometimes about my parenting skills but there are so many people out there who are actively awful to their children and those children still grow up to be fully functioning members of society. I don’t think you’ve caused this.

I’m thinking of you. This is hard. It’s NOT your fault though and you and Max are going to work through it and come out the other side.

I’m really glad there’s nothing wrong with his hearing.
There’s also nothing unusual about a child not talking at 2… a friend of mine’s child only spoke at 3 after speech therapy – with no reason whatsoever!

But honey, think of all the really neglectful parents, the ones who NEVER talk or interact with their children, the kids still end up talking. I don’t think it’s anything to do with what you did or didn’t do. I think it’s probably uniquely Max.
