Today was a good day…

Ok, first off… HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Veronica, who’s birthday it is about to be here, and has almost finished where she is. I hope you have lots of fun with your new lens – I expect to see lots of pics! *mwah* :)

Today was a good day. Other than Zack initially waking at 5am that is. Luckily I seemed to scare him enough with the whole Santa is watching thing that I managed to get him to go back to sleep till about 8am. I hope I don’t have to remind him about that tomorrow morning as well…
Max did a few things today that I was really proud of. He actually used his spoon properly for the first time ever! This is a big thing for me as he’s never *ever* let me feed him, and usually his interaction with a spoon consists of him banging it on the table and then throwing it off to one side. So YAY Max!
As he’d had such a big nap this afternoon I decided to see how he’d fair walking down to nursery and back. It took us about 10 minutes on the way there, and about the same back, so I was pretty damn chuffed about that! My lil baby is growing up so fast! Mind you, having to drag him away from the nursery toys kicking and screaming kind of took the edge off that, but he was soon happy enough to chase Zack (dragging me with him!) most of the way home. YAY Max again!
Then as I had managed to get a copy of Up! on the Mac, I thought it’d be nice for us to sit and watch it. Lo and behold – BOTH boys sat happily on the sofa with me for the entire duration of the film! Who are these children and what have they done with my boys??
Cut to the end of the day and after I’d got Max his last milk he took my hand and walked me over to the stairs to help him walk up them. Once he got to his room he picked up his blankie and put it in his cot. I think my boy was tired from all that walking today. I am so proud of him!!
Once they were in bed I decided that I was getting too cold with my computer and desk at the window on the opposite side of the room as the heater, so proceeded to move it to the other side, next to the radiator. So… go me! Now I get to blog with feeling in my toes, yay!

Today was a good day… I have high hopes for tomorrow too, who knows – I might actually see the bottom of the laundry basket!

How was yours?

Woo-hoo! But, not for laundry! ;-)
It’s good to know that that much exercise is like a sleeping potion on the wee ones!
