My husband is a computer geek, sorry…Gamer is the preferred term. Now I knew this when I met him, and when I married him, and if I’m honest, I do love playing games on my pc ( World of Warcraft ) on our Wii ( My Sims ), yes OUR Wii… in fact I actually bought this console for US, although J seems to have a problem with saying it’s ours rather than his, as seems to be the case with anything computer-oriented in ur house, *groan*.
Now I’m happy to let him play his games once the little ones are in bed, or sleeping, even to play with Zack on particular games, but it’s reached a whole new level now… Zack is addicted to the gameboy, particularly Donkey Kong Country and anything to do with Mario and Luigi. The problem is he wants to play it ALL the time… he asks for it from first thing in the morning, as soon as he’s up from his nap, and wants to take it to bed with him (note I don’t actually let him have it all the time, although J would if I let him!). I knew I’d married a gamer but I didn’t think I’d end up with a gamer-son quite so young… he’s 2 years and 4 months old! I’ve got to give him some credit though - he can play these games better than me and it is a good way to give him something ’safe’ to do while I’m feeding Max, or on those days when everything is just too much for me to be up to my usual ‘fun-mum’ form.
Yesterday J was playing Super Mario Sunshine and Zack came out with this gem… “Nooooo Daddy - you’re going the wrong way, here I’ll show you!” proceeded to take the controller from him and take him to the person needed to continue the next part of the story. I was in stitches - this is a game that J has completed I don’t know how many times over, and his 2 year old son was instructing him on how to play! LMFAO!
I suppose I should have suspected this would happen… I just didn’t expect the obsession to start so young - he’s even got a Luigi doll who goes everywhere with him, and everytime he sees the Nintendo logo he yells “NEEENTENDO WOOHOO!!”
I’d better just accept it, I’ve got a gamer husband… I’m going to have gaming sons too.

There are too many social networking things to be discovered!! Since stumbling across NaBloPoMo and deciding to have a bash at starting my own blog, I keep bloghopping and finding more and more things to sign up to, widgets to use, themes to try out, groups to join, the list is endless and I’m finding it hard to keep track of it all! It’s so easy to get too involved with everything and totally forget about the actual writing of my blog. Not that there’s any particular direction to it at all, but still… I’ve found somewhere I can just put down my random thoughts and stories of what has gone on in my day and for now that’ll do nicely
Thoughts keep popping into my head during the day of things I could write about, pictures I should take, things I should try to do on various WoW characters if/when I get a while to log on… but by the time I can actually sit down to do it I’ve forgotten about it all and just spew out random crap like this instead! I need a notebook that is Zack-proof /sigh.

There are just so many things I’d like to be doing but I just can’t find the time for them all!
Other than the usual day to day chores that just never go away *sigh*, here’s a list of some thing’s I’ve been thinking about doing for ages:
- write thank you letters for the pressies Max got.
- fix Zack’s bed properly
- sort out Zack’s old clothes - J keeps trying to put him in clothes way too small for him… *sigh*
- sort out our bedroom cupboard
- clear out our spare room to start getting it read for Zack’s ‘big boy’ room
- clear out the cupboard in the living room
- throw out the junk that has been in boxes for the past 2 years
- clean the oven *shudder*
- clean under the oven *shudders more*
- upload all my pics to Flickr
- de-clutter my deskspace
- make a list of Christmas things to do… that’ll be a long one *sigh*
I’m sure there’s more, a lot more… but for now I’m going to completely ignore all of that and go play Warcraft.

I missed a post! I knew I’d forgotten something yesterday!! I was just too tired after a bad night up with Max on sunday night/monday morning… sigh. Not that I was in the running for NaBloPoMo anyway, having missed the first few days, but I wouldn’t have even started this blog if I hadn’t had a nosey at it.
Oh well, onwards and upwards. J is working yet another late shift today which means he won’t be back til almost 9pm *cries*, I really hate his shift work, although at least it’ll go back to normal as of next week after this weekend the next weekend he is working is right in between Christmas and New Year, grr to that, no one will even call up those days I bet (he works in a telecomms centre).
Oh. My. God. It’s Christmas in 6 weeks, one pay day to go… and i haven’t started or even thought about what to get for anyone yet. Think I’ll have a look-see next weekend when I go to get my hair done for the first time in about 6 months! Not that I’m the sort of person to get their hair done every 6 wks or anything, but it’s nice to leave the kids with J and get some uninterrupted me-time, even if I do come back to something resembling a war-zone! Know what I’m getting him at least, he’s a gamer, therefore I buy him games and he’s a happy bunny, the simple life works very well sometimes
Gonna go do stuff while the boys are in bed… or maybe I’ll have a nap instead.
