Whenever I do something that he doesn’t want me to… “nonononononooooooo”.
Typical that isn’t it?
Right now I don’t even care – it’s a word, being said IN CONTEXT.
YAY!
He’s also started doing lil things like taking my hand and walking me to the kitchen where he’ll go to the bowl cupboard and take one out, then over to the pantry where the Coco Pops live and looks up at me pleadingly.
He’ll bring over the remote, give it to me and look at the tv till I put something on.
And if he drops something and I tell him to pick him up, he’ll do it. Sometimes.
Ohh, and if I give him the phone he’ll take it to the charger in the hallway and put it back for me.
Now I just need to teach him how to pour me a vodka and orange juice and we’re sorted!

Children are manual labour. not cheap, but labour nonetheless.
If Softi pleases, the child get a drink to be drunk.

YAY indeed!
My oldest didn’t learn the word “no” until probably 18 months. He just wasn’t interesting in telling me no. But my youngest is the normal one – he started saying “no” in the correct context around 8 month and uses it fluently
! His newest feat – he has realized that if he says “cracker” and takes my hand and walks me to his snack cupboard he gets a snack! Love it!! Now if only I could get them both to clean up after themselves – LOL. For some reason they don’t “understand” those words – ha ha!
