Just some random bits and pieces of mind-dumping going on today…

I’ve blogged on the other side - my gaming blog, cause I’ve been having fun with the game and some new friends - yay for the internet and new friends!

(No you don’t have to read it, I know it’ll make no sense whatsoever! :P

Rocky’s still settled, making himself right at home by sitting on my keyboard and such, luckily I have a big desk so I can push him to the side and he still gets to stay up here.

This was Day Five of Operation Potty Training and we didn’t have any accidents - YAY! Although he didn’t go for a poo  at all, but then he seems to be a little off at the moment, tired and wanting to nap a lot. I’m thinking it’s growth spurt time cause he’s been fitting in the clothes he has for a long time now, a stretch is definitely due soon! That plus he’s been much more active with Rocky about - they’ve been chasing each other up and down the hallway - ohsocute! :)

I think I’ve decided on what we’re going to do for Zack’s birthday next month. I was wondering about whether to give him a lil party with some of his wee friends from our close, but I figure why not wait till he’s old enough to actually WANT that eh? So instead we’re going to take him to the bowling alley. We took him once before at the end of April and he’s been asking to go back ever since, bless him! Less fuss, he’ll have great fun and be tired out, and Max was pretty happy then too.

Tomorrow we’ll go to the supermarket to get some groceries. I had been doing it online mostly but it’s a good way to get ALL of us out of the house for a while, a hassle in some ways ( trust me when I say you DON’T want to go food shopping with Zack… EVER!), but at the same time sometimes it’s just what J or I need to get us going again. Lethargy seems to be all around us at the moment… *sigh*.

I’m heading over to my parents on Sunday as it’s Father’s day. Gives J a chance to ‘bond’ with the boys on his own for a day… lmfao! It’ll be nice to see my own daddy on father’s day, it’s been quite a few years since we spent it together! That’s the only thing we’ve got planned, I just can’t believe it’s almost the weekend again already - where does it GO??

Our hallway needed

a change, apparently - so

Zack decorated.

Twenty-five minutes!

That’s how long it took to clean

up the mess he made!

The culprit tried to

escape but no chance of that

with Daddy around!

Seriously though… what would you do to punish an almost-3-yr-old for doing something like that? I took away his games, no TV for the day, and generally made sure he knew that I was unimpressed. He was put in his room for a time out, and I even got him to stand in the hallway watching me clean most of it up (he got very bored there!). If he was older I’d have got him to do it himself, but much elbow grease was needed so there’s no way he’d have managed it!

Help!

Totally shattered as we’ve been busy rearranging our living room today. We got a gorgeous new sofa yesterday and realized that it didn’t *quite* fit in the initial place we’d been going to put it, cue a complete move around of everything in our living room!

I’ll have pics up at the weekend of our new and improved space, until then… can anyone tell me where do you store your kids’ toys!? We have sooo many and not a clue where to put them all. I’ve thinned them out as much as I can without ending up regretting it when Max is old enough to play with them. I just hate having them all out in our living room as we’ve not really got the place for it and they all get pulled out so blimmin quickly! Any (cheap/free) ideas?

Zack has started saying “What you guys doing?” when he has been left for more than about 2 seconds, cute but wearing after oh, the 50th time? Oooh, and Max has found his feet properly, like without me waving them in front of his face! Sooo cute :)

Zack has really been picking up on the things we say recently - he’ll ask to watch tv/play a game/sing songs “just a little little bit… pleeeeease Mummy??”

He’ll ask me to help him with something because “it’s very difficult mummy, can you do it?” to which I reply that of course he can do it! and help him with whatever it is.  His face once he realises he can do whatever that difficult thing was is absolutely priceless!

“Shut up Max” has been known to be said a bit too often *hangs head in shame* and I have heard him say to Max if when he wakes up crying “shhh BabyMax… mummy’s playing warcraft!” *hides under a rock*

He’s asked to speak to Granny and Grandpa on the phone, to which I happily obliged… I think my mum was about to hang up though until she realised who it was!

Whenever he looks out our living room window he says he sees Daddy’s car… which is odd since we don’t have one.

If I ask him to do something, or put out food that isn’t sweeties, his first reaction is either “No thankyou mummy” or “No Mummy, I’m not going to do/eating thaaat!”, usually followed by him doing exactly what he said he wouldn’t.  The little nuances in his voice when he says that is just so cute… I must try to get a video of him doing that and figure out how to upload it onto here!

There are a ton of other cute little things that he’s doing these days so I’ll try to make sure I note them down here every now and then so I have a record of them, since this is what I started this blog for.
