We bought some cream for Max’ excema on Tuesday. I’d been looking for it for a loong while on recommendation from a few friends whose children have the same problem as Max.

I noticed Zack had become quiet. VERY quiet.

This is what I found…

The little bugger had emptied the whole bloody bottle and was wanting his bath. That’s £5 literally down the drain! Don’t you just love toddlers…? ;)

Potty-trained that is.

So we’re on about week 2 of the potty-training, and I decided to tried Zack last night with no nappy. He woke up around 8am in the morning - DRY AS A BONE and asking to go for a wee… I really couldn’t ask for more could I?? WOO BLOODY HOO!!! It’s damn nice not having to clean that poo-clad butt anymore, or at least not in the same way, and it’s saving us a nice lil amount every week.

Yay for Zacky!!

My boy is so damn clever :) Not that I’m biased at all of course…

This is day 9 of potty training and Zack hasn’t had ANY accidents since saturday morning - wheee! No more icky bums to wipe really makes it much nicer to look after him ;) To top it all, yesterday and today his pull-ups were DRY when he got up this morning and the first thing he said was he needed a wee… to say I’m thrilled is an understatement!

Now I just need to persuade him to sit on a toilet so we can go out normally - he won’t pee in his pull-ups which he wears when we’re out, but refuses to sit on the loo… not good! I think that will be stage 2 of the potty training… just need to tell J about that bit!

I’m feeling much better, finally. Still been dizzy on and off today but haven’t felt as bad as I did on sunday night thank god! I had a look at the pics I’d taken to see if I could find some late weekly winners but to be honest I didn’t really take pics of anything other than the cat - oops!

So on to my Big News. J and I have had a chat and we’ve come to the conclusion that I’m going to look for a job. (Ahahahaha I bet you thought with all the broody posts we were gonna try again - not likely!!)

J’s ok when he’s at home, can cope with the kids etc, but he needs a change, and so do I, so I’ve been dusting off my 4-year-old CV and, uh… revamping it… a bit. I have no idea what to do! I’ve always seen me being pretty happy doing some sort of office job, so maybe I’ll be lucky and find something like that, all I know for now is, I need to be earning some money by the end of July, so I have about 6 weeks… I should find something by then, right?

P.S. Rocky is standing on my shoulders as I’m typing this… I’m thinking he’s totally settled here now… ;)

Just some random bits and pieces of mind-dumping going on today…

I’ve blogged on the other side - my gaming blog, cause I’ve been having fun with the game and some new friends - yay for the internet and new friends!

(No you don’t have to read it, I know it’ll make no sense whatsoever! :P

Rocky’s still settled, making himself right at home by sitting on my keyboard and such, luckily I have a big desk so I can push him to the side and he still gets to stay up here.

This was Day Five of Operation Potty Training and we didn’t have any accidents - YAY! Although he didn’t go for a poo  at all, but then he seems to be a little off at the moment, tired and wanting to nap a lot. I’m thinking it’s growth spurt time cause he’s been fitting in the clothes he has for a long time now, a stretch is definitely due soon! That plus he’s been much more active with Rocky about - they’ve been chasing each other up and down the hallway - ohsocute! :)

I think I’ve decided on what we’re going to do for Zack’s birthday next month. I was wondering about whether to give him a lil party with some of his wee friends from our close, but I figure why not wait till he’s old enough to actually WANT that eh? So instead we’re going to take him to the bowling alley. We took him once before at the end of April and he’s been asking to go back ever since, bless him! Less fuss, he’ll have great fun and be tired out, and Max was pretty happy then too.

Tomorrow we’ll go to the supermarket to get some groceries. I had been doing it online mostly but it’s a good way to get ALL of us out of the house for a while, a hassle in some ways ( trust me when I say you DON’T want to go food shopping with Zack… EVER!), but at the same time sometimes it’s just what J or I need to get us going again. Lethargy seems to be all around us at the moment… *sigh*.

I’m heading over to my parents on Sunday as it’s Father’s day. Gives J a chance to ‘bond’ with the boys on his own for a day… lmfao! It’ll be nice to see my own daddy on father’s day, it’s been quite a few years since we spent it together! That’s the only thing we’ve got planned, I just can’t believe it’s almost the weekend again already - where does it GO??

Our hallway needed

a change, apparently - so

Zack decorated.

Twenty-five minutes!

That’s how long it took to clean

up the mess he made!

The culprit tried to

escape but no chance of that

with Daddy around!

Seriously though… what would you do to punish an almost-3-yr-old for doing something like that? I took away his games, no TV for the day, and generally made sure he knew that I was unimpressed. He was put in his room for a time out, and I even got him to stand in the hallway watching me clean most of it up (he got very bored there!). If he was older I’d have got him to do it himself, but much elbow grease was needed so there’s no way he’d have managed it!

Help!
