No post here, but one up at the geek blog, there’s a linky/RSS type thing to it down the sidebar if you’re really desperate to read my inane wanderings through a game… I know, I know. It’s a freakin GAME, I shouldn’t be spending time on that over my blog!! Tough! :P

Yes, my darling little eejit Zack managed to faceplant himself into another hard surface today, hitting his head in the same place *sigh* what am I going to do with him?!

I have to inform you that I said to J I wished it ahd been the other side so I could have got a pic - now come on blogging mammas, you know how awesome a photo that would have been right? RIGHT?!

In other news, I’ve been updating my Warcraft-Blog Geek-blog over the past few days, just cause I can you know, so now I have A Little WoW for Me too. Oh come on, it’s a little funny isn’t it? Thought I’d keep in tune with the theme I’ve got going on here a little, plus I only get little snippits of it these days anyway.  So that’s what I’ve been up to recently.  Tomorrow should be back to regular scheduling with TT, so until then I will leave you with a pic of my sleepy boy, who got his second tooth in on Monday.  Technically his first ‘proper’ tooth since he was born with the first… oh, I mentioned that already? Oops ;)

softthistleI have an addiction, and it’s about time I came clean about it. I’ve posted previously about how I’m married to a gamer, well, it’s time to admit it - I am also… a gamer. I am addicted to World of Warcraft. It’s a massively multiplayer online role playing game, or MMORPG for short. J made the huge stupid completely retarded mistake of encouraging me to have a go of his new game when he got it back in Feb 05. I was pregnant with Zack and as J was working til 10pm every night at that point it would give me something to do while he was away he said. I’d like it he said. So I tried it. One night after my soaps had finished at aroun 7pm, I tried it out. Four hours later when he finally came home from work I was still playing.

Almost 3 years later I am still playing. I am addicted to the point that I have a little side-blog about my adventures in the World of Warcraft. Not only do I like to play it, I like to read about it, research how to do things better on it, chat about it, but let’s be honest… writing about WoW doesn’t exactly fit into this blog anywhere does it? So there’s a cute lil RSS feed of it down the right sidebar now. If I don’t post here of a day (god forbid I miss a day of Blog365!) I’ll have posted over there.

I’ve had to severely cut down on my WoW addiction since about august/september last year when my pregnant belly just made it impossible to sit infrom of a PC for any amount of time, and then the little terror was born, so no WoW time then (although I still read about it a lot, mainly reading about other people playing it in their blogs)… and then I had the great idea of starting a blog in November (thanks TJ and BRK) so now I have TWO addictions to feed and less time than ever to dedicate to either of them!

Now I’m stuck with not just a gaming addiction, but a blogging addiction too - how the hell did that happen??

Have you got anything you’re addicted to, how did it start and have you taken any steps towards overcoming it? ;)

My husband is a computer geek, sorry…Gamer is the preferred term. Now I knew this when I met him, and when I married him, and if I’m honest, I do love playing games on my pc ( World of Warcraft ) on our Wii ( My Sims ), yes OUR Wii… in fact I actually bought this console for US, although J seems to have a problem with saying it’s ours rather than his, as seems to be the case with anything computer-oriented in ur house, *groan*.

Now I’m happy to let him play his games once the little ones are in bed, or sleeping, even to play with Zack on particular games, but it’s reached a whole new level now… Zack is addicted to the gameboy, particularly Donkey Kong Country and anything to do with Mario and Luigi. The problem is he wants to play it ALL the time… he asks for it from first thing in the morning, as soon as he’s up from his nap, and wants to take it to bed with him (note I don’t actually let him have it all the time, although J would if I let him!). I knew I’d married a gamer but I didn’t think I’d end up with a gamer-son quite so young… he’s 2 years and 4 months old! I’ve got to give him some credit though - he can play these games better than me and it is a good way to give him something ’safe’ to do while I’m feeding Max, or on those days when everything is just too much for me to be up to my usual ‘fun-mum’ form.

Yesterday J was playing Super Mario Sunshine and Zack came out with this gem… “Nooooo Daddy - you’re going the wrong way, here I’ll show you!” proceeded to take the controller from him and take him to the person needed to continue the next part of the story. I was in stitches - this is a game that J has completed I don’t know how many times over, and his 2 year old son was instructing him on how to play! LMFAO!

I suppose I should have suspected this would happen… I just didn’t expect the obsession to start so young - he’s even got a Luigi doll who goes everywhere with him, and everytime he sees the Nintendo logo he yells “NEEENTENDO WOOHOO!!”

I’d better just accept it, I’ve got a gamer husband… I’m going to have gaming sons too.
