Zack has been at his new nursery for a full week now. He is loving it, and so am I!
He is so much calmer now as he can use up his energy there. They have a great garden/play area that the kids are free to go out to so long as it’s not raining or really awfully cold. That is absolutely perfect for Zack – he us such an outdoorsy boy.
Max and I have been to a couple of clubs in the afternoons and over to my parents’ a few times too, so we’re enjoying our time just the two of us as well. Although I don’t think we’ll be going back to rhyme time since he really *doesn’t* like to stay still. The creche on a tuesday will definitely be a weekly event, assuming it’s not overly busy. They have a maximum of 6 places that they can take (yeah, this is a very small town), and apparently there are 5 regulars… so fingers crossed we’ll be ok!
We’re hoping to bake some cupcakes tomorrow while Max has his nap, so that ought to be interesting! At least we have a nice big kitchen to move around in now. 
Max’s second audiology appointment is on monday, so I’ll keep you posted with how he gets on with that.
Zack was begging me to take him to nursery today. He doesn’t quite understand the whole idea of a weekend yet, but we’re getting there! It’s great to see him so eager to go though – I couldn’t be more pleased at how well he’s settled in.
Being back into a routine is definitely working out better for all of us.
Now I just need to get to bed on time instead of staying up so late!

You and me both! I keep finding myself staying up late doing all kinds of things and then getting up late the next day.
I’m glad Zack is settling in so well and loves his new school so much as well. Nothing can make a parent feel better than knowing their child wants to be where they are going to go every day!

I think the clocks going back thing may have helped a bit – I was up an hour earlier than usual!
I think kids really benefit from being with children of their own age, my children love being at nursery.
