Well, the summer holidays are almost over, and Zack will be starting nursery in a week’s time. I’m really hoping he settles in pretty quickly, for my sake as well as his!
I’ve been *trying* to get to bed a little earlier the past few nights, hence not posting, but it doesn’t really seem to do much for me to be honest. I’ll keep it up for another week or so though – it’s gotta be better than ending up sleeping half the day and leaving J to look after the kids, right?
I keep thinking about taking more photos with my purty camera, but to be honest, I just feel like such a dork going out with my big camera swinging around my neck. There’s not much to take pics of when you rarely venture further than the end of the street, not to mention when there’s a Zacki in tow!
J’s dad and brother were over yesterday for a short visit on their way home from a funeral. It was nice for Zack to see them both, and Max took a real shine to his Grandad which was a relief considering how fussy he can be… nevermind what Max can be like! In the words of the Pioneer Woman… I kid, I kid!
I thought Zack was coming down with a cold yesterday. Had a snotty nose, was coughing on and off and felt slightly hot, but after a lil medicine last night he woke up bright and early this morning and seems perfectly fine. Thank goodness for that!
It’s getting harder and harder to keep the lil guy amused these days. He’d be outside all day long if he could get away with it! Unfortunately he has the most awful mean mummy who refuses to stay outside more than a couple of hours at a time – how dare she!!
Sometimes I really miss the days that we could just stay inside together and play, but now that he’s come to expect to get out to play, how can I really say no? Especially in the summer when he’s seeing all the other kids outside and playing – it would just be mean to keep him inside all day long!
So our lil gamer boy has turned into a lil outdoorsy boy. So long as it suits me…
That’s about all that’s gone on in our little space in the world. How have things been in yours?

My stepson came to stay last week and he had a very bad flu. I couldnt let him play outside as it is Winter here in Tassie and I was the worst, most evilest stepmother ever! Luckily one of the days was nice and we played outside in the garden all day!

My kids were never really the outdoorsy type. I tried to get them outside to no avail!

He’s starting this thursday – the 21st – I can’t believe it! I’m really looking forward to it actually – how bad it that! Zack’s just been such a handful recently, I think he’s really needing some structure to his days.

We continue to get ready for our big move…Deeder now refuses to sleep alone, he goes into crazy crying fits if I put him in his crib. Ah well, poor child.

1st day of school is special for every one….. School days are very close to my heart When we were in those days we never realized that this is only the “Golden days” which we were spending.
When we reached college we realized the value of “Golden School Days”.
