It doesn’t get better than this…

by Marylin on April 21, 2008

Zack, J and I were lying on the bed this evening, calming down the lil man for bed. He likes to pretend he’s looking up at the stars you see. He’ll tell us about the different coloured stars he sees, and occasionally he’ll point out a shooting star flying across the sky (can anyone say Cute?!).

So this evening apparently he saw a shooting star, to which I replied that he’d better make a wish!

The response?

“I wish we could be best friends for ever and ever and ever!”

Seriously? It just DOESN’T get better than that! I couldn’t help but say to myself, I really hope so too son, I really hope so too.

Well, ok maybe a little…

My mother is visiting with me this week and I am enjoying every minute. She lives in San Diego – I did too until I married and moved to Virginia three years ago.

I love it here but I miss her — she is definitely one of my best friends and one of my oldest friends. I wish you a long, loving friendship and much laughter and adventure with your son …

What a cutie. Parenting is a hard job and you look like you are great at it. I can tell that you adore your family and you should. I have 3 girls and I would have loved to have boys. However, that was not the plan. I do adore my daughters and I would not have it any other way. Enjoy your little ones.
