10 best moments of 2007

1.  Finding out I was pregnant with Max.
2. Celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary in Feb, 3 years together.  There were a few times that I had wondered if we’d make it, but we have!
   
3. Zack saying he loved me.
4. Zack’s 2nd birthday in July.  He had so much fun with his little tea party, just us and his Granny and Grandpa Spoiled is not the word!
   
5. We finally got this place to ourselves, the… lodger (otherwise known as the BIL who never VERY rarely paid his share of rent or bills) moved out
6. We met some of our friends from our guild in WoW - 2 came to see us in Feb and 2 in April, SO much fun
7. Finally giving birth to Max… 13 days late and evicted - what can I say, I’m a great place to live in haha
8. Knowing that my mum and dad were safe and sound after their operations - the relief is almost too much to handle - they had 5 operations between them since June 07… that’s a lot of stress!

ok ok, they’re almost all baby-related but come on, how can I not love those moments!

Max had to have a jag in each thigh today.  He screamed solidly for…..wait for it…. 5 seconds.  That was it!  He’s now fast asleep and has been since he had them - woot!  I took Jenty’s advice and gave him some infant calpol (paracetamol suspension), my HV reccomended doing this once I’d got there to make sure his temp stays regulated etc *just in case*.  Fingers crossed he stays on the good behaviour for the rest of the day! lol

Zack is having a late nap as he missed his due to Max’s appointment, so I am having a well deserved rest! I know, I know - some would say I should catch up on sleep while I can, but honestly… you know the second I start drifting off to sleep Max will wake, or Zack will… or both at the same time… and I’ll be grumpy and shattered all over again - so not worth the hassle when I’m finally feeling awake!

Ooh and I never did mention how my shopping trip with my mum went did I? We had a great time, started off buying me some make-up, then got a couple of pieces of clothing for Zack and J, and went to The Pancake Place… hmm can you guess what they sell?  We didn’t actually have any of the pancakes though as their soup was very tasty, just what was needed for a winter’s day.  It was sooo nice to be able to just sit and chat without having interruptions from Zack every ten second, to actually be able to have a conversation without having to see to a crying baby - bliss

I was treated to a gorgeous pair of ‘dressy’ combats… if you can call them that! lol, a stripy fleecy jumper, some decent underwear (no more maternity bra crap!) and the most cosy cardigan I’ve ever owned - it’s most definitely my favourite item of clothing now. I feel all yummy mummy in it, although J doesn’t see it that way - he hates the tassles on it, typical male!  Oh but that doesn’t mean I don’t look good in it apparently… the boy is learning I’ll give him that

I can’t believe it’s only 16.20, it feels like it should be so much later, but then I guess that’s because I was up stupidly early this morning huh? Just 4.5 hours til J gets home from work… I so hope he gets the new shifts he has asked for, no more late nights - now that would be bliss! Hmm that means 4.5 hours til dinner too… *sigh* I’m supposed to be on a diet… I hate diets… chicken fajita’s are healthy to right? I mean it’s just chicken, spices, peppers and tortillas… isn’t it?

How was your Tuesday?

We had a baaaad night with Max last night… can you tell from the title? he woke at 1am, 2.45am, 3.40am and 4.20am… by the last one I knew he wouldn’t sleep any more without his milk so he got that, had the whole bottle, and was wide awake until gone 6am.  I couldn’t get back to sleep after that and had to go do our grocery shopping before J went to work this morning…

So it’s 11.32am at the moment and I’ve been up for 7 hours already, Zack thank god is in bed having a nap and hasn’t been too fussy, Max is finally snoozing next to me and J is at work now until they are both in bed tonight.

To top it all Max is having his 2nd set of immunisations today at 2.40pm.  This entails my dad coming over, us getting the carseats IN his car, getting a grumpy toddler and baby in said seats to drive to the  doc’s, hope that Zack behaves for his Grandpa while I go in with Max to hold him down while he has two needles in his butt… poor kid!

note: Max woke screaming just there… he bit his finger with that damn tooth!  I think there’s another coming through soon too

So yeah… crap day so far and I have a sinking feeling it’s gonna get worse…
